With these experienced and highly skilled teachers, you will have an intensive program and the chance to meet other advanced students. 

All of this, in the safe environment of The Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, with its enchanting atmosphere.

TEACHERS OF THE SUMMER COURSE

Angela Malan

Angela Malan, a native of Johannesburg, South Africa, received her professional training in her hometown. Over the course of her career, which spanned 30 years, she held the esteemed position of Senior Principal dancer.

Ask La Cour

Ask la Cour, former Principal dancer with New York City Ballet is originally from Copenhagen, Denmark where he studied at The Royal Danish Ballet School

Susanne Grinder

Susanne Grinder trained at The Royal Danish Ballet School. She Joined the Royal Danish Ballet in 1998, became a corps de ballet member in 2000, soloist in 2005, and Principal Dancer in 2010 after debuting as Odette/Odile in Swan Lake.

11:30-13:30: Class
13:30-14:00: Lunch
14:00-15:30: Bournonville repertoire
15:30-15:45: Lunch
15:45-17:00: Pointe/Technique focus class

POINTE CLASS

An energetic pointe class focused on building strength and stability while refining your technique, balance, and lightness en pointe. 

Disclaimer: A minimum of 3 years of pointe experience is required to participate in Pointe Class. 

TECHNIQUE FOCUS CLASS

Open to all levels, this class focuses on jumps, turns, and building strength. Working in soft shoes (no pointe), the emphasis is on refining technique and enhancing performance quality. 

TUITION & REGISTRATION

Payment for 6 days of Tivoli Ballet School’s Summer Course: 4.300 DKK (approx. 575 EUR)

Students must bring their own lunch.

The first day of the course, the students will receive an entry card, which can be used for both entry to Tivoli Gardens and to all the rides in the park. The entry card is included in the price of the course.
