A graduate of the Professional Ballet/Academic Program at NBS, Carina Bomers went on to dance with the National Ballet of Canada and the Ballet Ys. Over the course of her performance career, she has toured across Canada, Europe and the United States, working with renowned dancers such as Rudolf Nureyev, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Veronica Tennant, Karen Kain, Erik Bruhn and Celia Franca.

Carina returned to NBS for the Teacher Training Program in 1980, and has been on staff at NBS since 1983. Each year, Carina teaches at the Nordic Seminar, which involves professional ballet students from the National Finnish Opera Ballet School in Helsinki, Norwegian National Ballet School in Oslo, Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm and Swedish National Ballet School in Gothenburg.
